Thankfully, you appear to be correct!
From Google:

What Requires You to Wear Them

• Camera Features: If you want to take photos, record video, or use vision-based AI features that look at what you are looking at, the glasses must be worn on your face.
• Proximity / Wear Sensors: Some smart functions or auto-pause features for audio may pause or disconnect if the glasses sense they are not being worn.

Perhaps this is why Trump put sanctions on other countries, to make sure there would be supplies for the US?
But commentators and critics were quick to highlight contradictions between the new policy and prior efforts by the U.S. to clamp down on Russian oil sales.

Those efforts most recently included the enactment of the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026, empowering Trump to impose tariffs up to 100% on the top purchasers of Russian crude oil or gas, among other restrictions. Trump signed the bill into law just three weeks ago.

Not for me, perhaps if you're outside the UK? (More in ALT text)
Andy Burnham is expected to edge Labour closer to rejoining the EU as he prepares to address the Labour Party conference for the first time as prime minister.

Ministers have told The Independent that it is now a question of how much he emphasises the UK’s return to Europe, rather than if.

Mr Burnham has already warned about the “drift and division” in the decade since Brexit and is expected to make reference to it in his speech on Tuesday, when he said he will “lay out a very clear path for the country”. This is a deliberate step to emphasise Labour’s differences with the right of centre parties.

There is growing optimism that a way back into the EU could be put to voters at the next election after the prime minister and senior ministers made it clear they believe Brexit has been a failure at this year's party conference.

When The Independent asked Mr Burnham about whether Rejoin would be in Labour’s next election manifesto on his recent trip to the UN in New York, he refused to rule it out – having said a year ago when he was Manchester mayor that he believes the UK should rejoin the EU.

One senior minister told The Independent that “the mood has completely changed on this subject.”

They added: “There is a lot of momentum around rejoining again. The economic data is there and we are feeling more relaxed about talking about Brexit as being a failure.”

Another senior minister said: “If there was no political risk I think we would rejoin tomorrow, but we have to be mindful of Nigel Farage and revitalising Reform.

“That said, if we want to grow the economy then we have to rejoin – we all know that.

“From the discussions taking place, it is not ‘if’ but ‘how’ we do it. Do we put it directly as a pledge in the manifesto or do we use a more indirect form of words about having a debate? That is the conversation now.”
