Ten years ago today, the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, was the site of one of the largest mass shootings in U.S. history. Forty-nine people lost their lives, and dozens of others were injured, on what should have been a night of community, joy, and the celebration of diversity. 1/4

Traditionally, “ally” refers to cisgender, straight people who support LGBTQ+ rights. But allyship is a verb, not a noun — it’s about what you DO, not who you are. The real work of allyship is a constant process of listening, learning, and growing throughout your lifetime. 1/4

Today marks nine years since the horrific mass shooting during Latin Night at Pulse, an inclusive LGBTQ+ nightclub in Orlando. We hold the 49 who died, the dozens injured, and their loved ones in our hearts today, and we send a special message of love and solidarity to our Florida affiliates. 🩷
