He felt like the detective he is supposed to be whereas, he didn’t really in previous Batman films as much as he felt like a rich guy who liked to punch shit in those. The broodiness of modern Batman was also handled far better imo than other takes on gritty Batman stories.

If it was only little stuff it wouldn’t matter, but Disney threw out a plethora of cool rules, made their own, and don’t even follow their own Bleeding the crystal was cool and ritualistic and it’s kind of lame to establish rules then say they don’t matter. People may have found it cool otherwise

Well bleeding lightsaber crystals is fully established in Disney canon. It’s also why Ahsoka was able to do the inverse and purify the crystals I’m not kicking and screaming but it is a plot hole.
