Learn what people think. Work with them where we can, challenge them where we must. The left too often starts from "you're wrong," & then can't reach the people it needs to win.

Reform want to rollback workers' rights and cut taxes for billionaires. Spain did the opposite - and has one of the fastest growing economies in Europe.

A Gulf state buys a club, reportedly hides the money, lawyers up. Owners now police a rival owner. Epstein: same secrecy, offshore shells, mutual protection. Neither topples the ruling class. Both bust the myth of self-policing. But us ordinary folk are the biggest losers.

Just 4 months after the local elections, Reform UK (RefUK) have lost 158 of their local councillors: -55 resigned -42 went Independent -28 defected -24 were kicked out -5 lost their seats -2 disqualified -2 suspended. Appalling record - and a waste of taxpayers’ money!

St Giles’ Fair has lit up Oxford for 4 centuries & tonight it was warm, noisy, human, a multicoloured rush of people moving together. A brilliant, contrast to the soulless, stale theatrics of the racist mobs. This was Britain at its best: in full colour, confident, diverse, gloriously alive.

Very little of substance in this article. HMRC’s Large Business Directorate reports that half of all large‑business tax risk sits in around 2% of firms.

Absolutely! Hence we need to keep mobilising to keep the racists off our streets, & expose them in our workplaces & get them sacked if they are unsafe & build an electoral alternative as the LP are not the answer.

Public control and public ownership are not the same thing! Water in England is already in public control. That's why we need PUBLIC OWNERSHIP.
Infographic showing the difference between public control and public ownership. Public control - Government regulation decides on prices and services provided. Public ownership - local, regional or national ownership by the public, all profits reinvested. Deregulation (ie zero public control) makes your services even worse. Adding accountability to citizens/households can make services better.

Burnham is promising "greater public control over key utilities including water, energy and transport" The problem is water and energy are *already* in public control - and regulation has failed for 40 years👇 He must deliver PUBLIC OWNERSHIP to stop the privatisation rip off

This naturalises capitalist power, treats class relations as technical constraints, and reduces politics to managing voter irritation rather than transforming the ownership and control of the economy-which would be genuine change.

Not at all. We knows about its genocide. It’s using the green light it got for the genocide, to expand its territorial ambitions & its perceived threats I.e. Iran, in the region. They see this as a once in a lifetime opp to reshape the region in its image & that of the US imperial control.

What I find fascinating is most people (and that means not working in education or activists of sorts) still have never heard of the phrase & so I never use it. Indeed, woke (positive or negative) is now, genuinely a popularly used phrase in the UK in a way neoliberalism never has nor ever will be.
