Well after 7 and and half years, this bike has been sold It's taken us across Europe a number of times and brought much joy Cruise control and a radio made it great tourer, it's just too big and bulky when you get anywhere to enjoy the twisty roads to the fullest I will miss it though #motosky

Trip to France occasionally turned into a bit of a nightmare because the nav kept getting it wrong (mainly in towns) Need a new set up I think, looking for something small though All the sat nav/mirror devices seem to be massive #motosky

It's 2am we've just arrived home from Sarbruecken Due to Eurotunnel delays and the fact the the UK doesn't know what a contraflow is apparently (A1 closed again!) The screen is just too bright on Multistrada and night, have to cover it with Duct tape What a trip home! #motosky

Wheels are off the 749 for tyres No 28mm socket to take the front off, no problem I thought, used an adjustable wrench, Halfords or Euro car parts will have one Nope Screwfix or Toolstation maybe, nope GSF car parts, nadda It's no wonder bricks and mortar stores are going under 😡 #Motosky

It's not just Silverstone tickets it's the whole event, (some is out of their control) Kids u-16 free is a start (Mugello is €1) Portimao is free For reference below is the cheapest ticket at Portimao this year so it'll cost me €60 (£51) for the weekend Silverstone this year was £140 for Sunday

Decided to just get new (used) silencers for the Royal Star off a Harley Electra Glide as they were a bargain.... Had more trouble putting them on than I'd hoped for (they're supposed to be a direct fit) Anyway they're on now and sound like the god of thunder is on his way 😂 #Motosky

This will explain some of the popping and banging on the xvz1300 Do I A) try use some kind of longer clamp (probably not) B) buy Harley Road King pipes and figure how to cover the gap to the silencer C) buy a new set of OEM pipes (by far the most expensive option)

Where do go from here Sticking slide Do I (A) put things back together after loosening it and see if it works even though a sticking slide is unlikely to have caused the symptoms (B) Keep going, remove and clean the carb with the chance it doesn't need to be cleaned (It'll be B 😆) #Motosky
