Happy Birthday, Oliver Tree; he would have turned 33, just 8 days after I did myself.

Leymotif | RIP Oliver Tree @leymotif.bsky.social · 21/06/2026

In the wake of Oliver Tree's passing I've been listening to his music just about every day and it never occurred to me before how clearly you can hear what artists influenced his style. Given that he was just eight days younger than me it's no surprise he grew up listening to the same things I did.

This just hit me like a truck. Oliver’s one of my all time favourite artists, he made incredible music and the project he was working on was something truly special. I’m at a complete loss for words at how sudden and horrible this is.
