Lew Kotowicz @lewekmek.bsky.social · 19/06/2025to elaborate, he was a prisoner of Auschwitz. he wasn’t killed because his oppressors forced him to make their portraits and signs for the camp. but he also risked his life making portraits of other prisoners, some of which were secretly sent to their families. he had amazing visual memory 1/? 120
