Deadman Death Stranding is hot I can't pretend otherwise

LeWalrus (Commissions closed) @lewalrus.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

It's worth it, he is a very proeminent character in the first game, so you're going to see him a lot x3 If you do, I hope you enjoy it even beyond knowing Deadman better!

References for the animatic I'm working on, I never did references for animatics before, but I hope it helps keeping them consistent 😅 Maybe I'll make a simplified version of Sam's bunker in Blender to use as base for the background

Some studies on DS2 Deadman (a bit of DS1 too), I also tried to explain how I simplify his features, including for a chibi, furry and genderbend version. It's been a long time since I last did a study on him, I missed this :')

their attention and they would just look at him, notice he is taking photos and just smile, give a thumbs up and go back to work.

LeWalrus (Commissions closed) @lewalrus.bsky.social · 12/06/2026

I used the polaroid thing literally only once, because the game made me do it, it's just so uncomfortable. I think it would be cute and honestly adding more to Sam's character development if he was just taking photos of his friends working and doing random stuff, maybe he would say something to get+

LeWalrus (Commissions closed) @lewalrus.bsky.social · 12/06/2026

Kojima had to add an entire new character, completely change Lucy's role, make the story do so many weird turns, add new concepts, just for Lou to be Sam's biological daughter. It's so fucking stupid. We don't even spend time with Tomorrow, she is a completely stranger to me.

LeWalrus (Commissions closed) @lewalrus.bsky.social · 12/06/2026

In the second game, we would finally know his choice and he would have chosen Lou's life instead of his... But no, let's just have him dying out of camera all alone as he has always has been his entire life. Fuck, he deserved so much better

260

LeWalrus (Commissions closed) @lewalrus.bsky.social · 12/06/2026

If Deadman had to die, why not make him the one to sacrifice himself for Lou? That would be even more meaningful because of that scene from the first game, during WW2, where Deadman told Sam that "if he had to choose between his own life and the BB's..." and never finished his line +

LeWalrus (Commissions closed) @lewalrus.bsky.social · 12/06/2026

Other than the forced mommy role she got, something else that also bothers me is the fact that we had two men willingly available to give their own lives for Lou, but it was Fragile, a woman who had no attachment to her in the first game, the one who had to die for the baby
