To further illustrate how bad the broadcast team has been… just 2 mins into the game the play by play guy said Nouhou is always a threat to get up and down the field. Lol what 🤷‍♂️

You literally can’t tell from that angle if he’s behind or even with 5. For context this goal was given after a review in the Nashville game yesterday. The standard is supposed to be clear and obvious. It’s pretty inconsistent that one is a goal and one isn’t. That’s my biggest gripe.

Looks like the sounders are about to ship DeRo out on loan. Really not a fan of this move.

The Sounders just sent out this letter from Adrian.

I said in another post that it’s recently felt like the Sounders have cared more about being a business than a soccer club first. I’m sure that’s a little harsh but when you see them bottom of the league in spending and see stuff like the barge, it really does feel like the priorities are wrong.

Made the journey across the border for my first World Cup game.

I came into tonight’s game fearing the worst but goddamn them Sounders showed up! Glad I made it north.

If I’m not mistaken, the Sounders do have a play they could make to go after Griezmann. Ok here goes… They could sign him on loan in the summer window at a number below DP (like De Paul & Muller last year). He would then likely become a DP starting 2027 season.

Antoine Griezmann and Obed Vargas during FIFA Club World Cup.

Really like one through five. Things get a bit messy after that.

Hard agree. The 2012 waldos were ok but the sash kits were far superior. Bring these back!

It’s raining like mad out here.

Was lucky enough to capture the third Sounders goal right after the record attendance was announced. cc @lobbingscorchers.com

Wondo, Johannsson, Davis, Bedoya, Zusi, Green (!). I liked a lot of these players for their individual qualities but it’s ridiculous to say with a straight face that any of them had more talent than LD even in 2014.

Down in the bay so decided to catch an earthquakes game. Even though it’s one of the older soccer specific stadiums now it’s still pretty dope.

Sometimes FotMob ratings really hit the mark but this one definitely did not.

I know it’s been said a lot but man FIFA’s approach to ticketing these cwc games was so dumb. This game looks like it’ll be fairly full but everyone is spread out bc the prices were so dumb from the start of the sales.

Watching soccer at Yankee Stadium is a weird time.

It was nice to see Nico get recognized tonight.

They had a nice last second equalizer called off for offside and it looks like it should have stood. (This frame is after the ball has already come off the head of the passer.)

Brutal way for @goballardfc.bsky.social to go out. They were so close to getting to pks. #usopencup

It’s a damn shame there wasn’t 40k Sounders fans in the building today.
