That was quite the show last night. Glad we didn't have to deal with the tornadoes though. #photography #thunderstorm

I have white blackout roller blinds, and these are the temperatures currently coming off the east-facing window. I'm glad I installed them before summer. It was already tough here in previous summers, and this year would have been unbearable without them.

Display of an infrared-thermometer reading 47.3°C on the inside of the roller blinds.

Meine beiden Ringeltauben hatten hier an manchen Tagen auch extrem zu Kämpfen und da war diese große Hitzewelle noch gar nicht da. 🫠

How to keep away unwanted visitors: Just park a large walnut orb-weaver right above your apartment entrance. Mf got spooked and jumped at me like a drop bear when I opened the door. I guess it owns the apartment now. Also no more solicitors to deal with. huehuehue

Zumal Wölfe auch anderes Wild reißen, deren Populationen ebenfalls extrem hoch sind und manche davon lassen sich nicht so einfach klein kriegen, z.B. Wildschweine

Restored an old coffee grinder and I highly appreciate how I was able to take it apart down to the smallest bits.

A manual, old coffee grinder made of wood, metal and white ceramic, with blue floral patterns on the sides, and "coffee" written in German on the front.

Finished playing #Subnautica 2 in co-op with a friend (as far as Early Access let us). The screams were hilarious, and I can only imagine how funny this is going to be when voice chat is being added.

Finally facing that #sourdough endboss. First attempt, second day. Wish me luck so I don't end up in one of those sourdough fail compilations. 😆

The sun was burning hot today. The pigeon was struggling so hard, it even left the nest for a little while when temperatures peaked.

Day 4 She is slowly turning into a duck as we are having to deal with strong winds and heavy rain. Also a good test for the new shade cloth I set up a few weeks ago. The last one got absolutely shredded by the summer storms.

A pigeon, covered in drops of water, is sitting on a nest made of twigs.

Made some experimental muffins with oats and buckwheat a few days ago. I was actually expecting them to be rather dry due to the amount of oats in them, but they turned out to be pretty good. 🧁 #baking

3 more projectile #VFX left to work on - well, technically 9 if I include different variants - and I can move on to the next set, which will be a whole lot easier. (famous last words) Saving the hardest VFX for last. I'm both excited and terrified to work on the complex stuff. #gamedev #indiedev
