Also, I did it! It took a while but it was fun. Tho there's a lot of fast thinking required to the point that I'm not sure I like it that much (I'm super bad). at least, compared to the other secret bosses after jevil. But it's still a fun time.

Guess who got and played the star fox remake and reached the true final boss on his first run? What a good game. As a remake there's still things I would change but, it's cool as hell! I love the story scenes and interaction which was what I looking for the most. It adds to the experience.

In essence it's a for loop that draws circles, and adds a corresponding hitbox to each of them. What's complicated comes more from calculating the distance between each part of the chain. In this case i'm just using a lerp function + a sine one so it undulates.

Hey, I worked on something I can actually show. I made "mini textboxes" that can appear around the screen, so characters in the background can say stuff if needed. Inspired by how that happens in Paper Mario TTYD! I'll record a video later. #indiegamedev #gamedev #rpg

There's many mini text boxes, one that reads "Oh hello!", other that reads "I'm not sure how much i'll get out of this system... but hopefully it'll be a good amount!".

The last mini text box comes from a character in the background saying "yo what the hell are they talking about????"

Playing Kingdoms of the Dump. I'm just starting so I can't say it's "good yet", but gameplay wise it's really fun. This basically takes the best lessons you could learn from final fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger and Live a Live to create a simple and to the point classic JRPG experience.
