The rest of the country added jobs. Massachusetts did not. Local governments have, however, added incentives that will attract about 7 people who will lose their jobs eventually when the incentives added are so costly, it incentivizes everyone to continue leaving.

Hingham's Select Board approved an $86,500 design amendment for the Main, Middle and Short street roundabout. Construction starts in April and runs four to six months, which puts the July 4 parade and the start of school inside the work window.

Massachusetts just saw ~ 3,000 homes hit the market in a single week, which is the most since 2019. At the same time, the Fed Reserve raised interest rates for the first time in 3 years and the average 30 year mortgage rate climbed to 6.95% this week.
