@mischieftoy.com I’m proud to introduce you to Lady Giggle Fart. My 8th graders named it and they love it.

A giant pink rubber chicken with a paper crown, a blue monkey riding its back, and a green and white bead necklace.

I don’t have anything other than “absolutely not allowed.” But I want to find a way to bring these graphics in.

Graph 1 shows homework scores went up using AI
GRAPH 2 shows how homework completion times sped up with AI use.
Graph 3 shows test scores dropped for those that used AI.

A study out of china that shows students that didn’t use AI have higher exam scores than those that used AI on their homework.

Costco. $5 a dozen. But when I was watching carbs I used Thomas keto bagel thins. You can get them at Walmart. They also have some other keto bagels that are more bagely but I don’t remembered what they are called.

Great idea! While I’m having a heart attack I can compare ambulance and ER rates to pick the right one. Stupid centrist nonsense that does nothing to help.

Enjoy might be the wrong word but A Wolf at the School House Door and They Came for the Schools. The attacks on education from the right and especially the Christian Right are terrifying. But worse is the complicity of the Dems in the destruction of public education.

A Wolf at the Schoolhouse Door should be required reading for every teacher, parent, soon to be parent. The elites don’t want you to be educated and have been tearing apart the school system for decades. @jackschneider.bsky.social @jenniferberkshire.bsky.social

This is great that Klobuchar showed up. Why is Tina Smith posting about it but I can’t find any mention of it on her socials? Also why has she voted with Trump 14/99 times vs Smith 2/98 times? media.cq.com/pub/table/in...

Maybe I shouldn’t have started my summer off this way. A great book so far. Enraging. But enlightening. @mikehixenbaugh.com

New Achievement: After 21 years of teaching, today was the first day that I hand graded, on paper, 155 student tests the same day the students took them before the end of the school day. Please clap.

Tattoo #1 in the books. Got some touch ups in a couple of weeks but not as painful as I thought. Can’t wait to add a Cyberman and a Weeping Angel.

This is what it has always been and it works on the mindless racist MAGA every time.

A white billionaire with a plate of cookies trying to convince a white construction worker with one cookie that a brown skinned foreigner wants his cookie.

But I’m proud of my kids’ shitty drawings. I’m embarrassed by this nonsense. It reminds of how Dr. Evil describes his dad.

Dr. Evil describes his dad. “My father would womanize. He would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament.”

I’ve struggled to read during the school year, but it’s time to buckle down and do some learning. Some of these are 1st time through, some are rereads. This is my accountability space for me regardless of who is watching. Next step is to figure out how to put this into practice.

Book 1 of learning how to deal with a fascist government. Don’t comply in advance, read books, organize, beware of militias, build community, be a model for others, be a patriot not a nationalist.

This book is both frightening and reassuring. Attacks on education may have changed over the years, but they are almost always the same. Attacks by the Christian right on science, attacks against expanding education for minorities, and attacks against LGBTQ+.
