The culture is here. We knew this going back to training camp and preseason. The 3-1 start validated it. The Raiders almost won today, and that speaks well of the culture. Add better talent to go with experience and you got a great team ready. #NFL #LasVegasRaiders #LasVegas #SilverandBlack

The Raiders can play with anyone. They can be a playoff team. This team is not a cute story. #NFL #LasVegasRaiders #LasVegas #SilverandBlack #RaiderNation #Raiders

You have to love Kirk managing another good game. He did all he could. He has earned the right to see this through here. #LasVegasRaiders #LasVegas #NFL #SilverandBlack #RaiderNation

Matt Gay was terrific. The Raiders needed all of his points. He has had a good start to this season. #NFL #LasVegasRaiders #LasVegas #SilverandBlack #RaiderNation

When do we reach the point where Adrian Jeanty should be on the IR? He has nothing. At this point, there has to be a conversation, no? #LasVegasRaiders #LasVegas #NFL #RaiderNation #SilverandBlack

I have no idea why people slept on the Chiefs this year. Everyone loved the Broncos. The Chiefs are the team to beat because of Patrick Mahomes, one of the best to ever play the game and maybe the best QB of all time when his story is finished. #LasVegasRaiders #LasVegas #NFL #RaiderNation

The Raiders don't have a home-field advantage in Las Vegas. The fans were fine today, but being in a dome stadium doesn't really help the Raiders. They needed to be in LA. #NFL #LasVegasRaiders #LasVegas #SilverandBlack #RaiderNation

Really thought the Raiders would tie it and go to OT. That would have been so cool. The Raiders were so close. Unfortunately, time was of the essence. #LasVegasRaiders #LasVegas #NFL #RaiderNation #SilverandBlack #Raiders

Raiders/Chiefs rivalry needs to be back. It would be great for the league when you look at that history going back to the AFL days. If today is any indication, football fans need it back. #NFL #LasVegasRaiders #LasVegas #SilverandBlack #RaiderNation

That's your ballgame. The Chiefs are the Chiefs.

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 1h

Patrick Mahomes. He still has it.

Drew Rasmussen's performance last night was best postseason performance from a starter since Orel Hershiser. I know, I know Halladay, but the Reds were an overmatched, free-swinging team that you knew would lose. Drew had to no-hit to have the Rays hold on to a 1-0 lead. He needed 10 Ks to beat them

000

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 14h

I still can't believe what Austin Wells was thinking going to 3rd yesterday in the eighth. You never make the final out at 3rd. That was the play of the game. His stupidity bailed Rasmussen and Rays out. Game could have played out differently. At the least, Kevin Cash uses his closer for a 4-out SV

I have no idea who's so dumb in this town. The sports fans or the NY media. I heard stuff about Yankees in 3 all week from ignorant idiots. Hearing this illustrates my point why NY is the worst sports town in the country, not to mention uneducated, and why I want to move to Las Vegas one day.

010

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 23h

I do not like this decision. This should be Drew Rasmussen's game to win or lose. I get the fresh arm angle and analytics, but have Baker warm up if Drew gives up a hit. This is managing scared here.

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Wish Drew Rasmussen would get the no-hitter. He will take that last out, though.

000

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

There's aggressiveness, and there's stupidity. What Austin Wells did was stupidity.

000

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

There's no way you take Drew Rasmussen out here. Let him finish the game. He has control of the game. You have to die with him on this spot.

000

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

13 straight. 7 no-hit innings. 10 Ks. At this point, you have to have Drew Rasmussen pitch 9. 2 walks He's controlling this game. The type of performance where you say this was the best pitching performance I saw since Orel Hershiser.

000

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

DREW RETIRED 10 IN A ROW. 9 KS! HE'S DEALING!

000

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

@thatbootlegguy.bsky.social Do the A's have any starter close to Rasmussen's ilk?

100

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

This 4th inning was the best Drew pitch today. Back-to-back Ks on a 9-inning pitch Yeah you ain't facing the Red Sox anymore, Yankees.

000

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

1-0 GOOD GUYS! THANK YOU, ARANDA! My favorite was him admiring that home run. Go fuck yourself, Cole.

000

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

The Rays need to take this game here. Cole can be beat. You don't want the Yankees be in a position to take a 2-0 series lead and then get the sweep here. Life goes fast, as you know.

000

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

It's fun to watch a starter know what he's doing. Drew Rasmussen has this game under control. 4 Ks.

010

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I thought Richie Palacios was going to hit that one out of here.

010

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Love watching Drew Rasmussen pitch.

000

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Drew Rasmussen looked great in the first. 10-pitch first inning, getting ahead of the count.

000

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Dylan Dodd has been so good. Walt has to ride the wave with him, no?

000

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

It sure looks like this game will come down to what pitcher makes a mistake.

000

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

DYLAN DODD STRIKES OUT THE SIDE! GO BRAVES!

000

Braves throwing a bullpen game?

@skamike.bsky.social What's the buzz heading to Sunday's Chiefs/Raiders game?

000

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Caitlin & Aliyah should take note of what A'ja Wilson and Chelsea Gray did in this series. You can see why A'ja and Chelsea have been champs for years now. They trust each other. They play for each other. Caitlin and Aliyah are getting there, but they can learn something from the Aces' pair.

011

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Caitlin was good, but she didn't do Caitlin things as she did in Game 2, which is why the Fever lost last night and got eliminated. For the Fever to win, Caitlin needed a legacy game. She fell short of it.

000

Leslie Monteiro @lesonsports.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Here's a player who was a flop in this series: Sophie Cunningham. Outside of that three last night in the 4th quarter, she was a non-factor the entire series. She offered nothing. As I said here, this is her last game with the Fever. Some team will sign her, and they should. She's still good.
