After week of intense work and focus, I finished a heavy-lift round of revision on one of the two novels I have underway. 🎉 I rewarded myself with this photos-don't-do-it-justice handcrafted Japanese teacup. I wish you could see and feel the texture and craft, but this is the best I could do!

Adore these acknowledgements (here in their entirety) that open FLOOD by Andrew Vachss. 🔥
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: The ultimate poverty is to fail to acknowledge your debts. For the material in this book and others to come, I am indebted to many people, some as close as my blood, some forever to be my enemies. I will never forget any of them.

Look at these beauties at the Typewriter Museum here in Lausanne. Aren't they gorgeous? When I had to buy a new computer a few months back, I considered going typewriter-level old school for more than a minute there. I miss that sound. (And hey, no forced-AI nonsense!)

On my way home I saw these lamps of ceramic art (?) in a storefront window and decided you needed to see them.

Had to close the loop and post the finished project. Turns out, per the sign, it's a temporary sculpture called "Les Beaux Dimanches" comparing the human digestive system to urban wastewater systems. (At least, to disappoint some of the hypotheses posited here, it is indeed not The Wicker Man.)
