What sucks about Venezuela is it requires those in positions of power and control to use it The only way to stop the US without WW3 becoming inevitable is the same people doing more. Unlikely though as there are “rules” :/ Sadly this is exactly how Germany started, they just did it

Magneto from x-men:

Nobody's talking about extermination!

No one ever talks about it. They just do it. And you go on with your lives, ignoring the signs all around you.

And then one day, when the air is still and the night has fallen, they come for you

Seriously we need to take inspiration from the French and other countries.

Just had a conversation with a nice French couple who said the problem with American protests is that we schedule them one by one instead of showing up every night until the change happens.

The thing I feel is missed about these metaphors. Are the thousands of women who have either been killed or killed their abusers. If this happens in a household, what gonna happen when the abuser is the leader of the country? bjs.ojp.gov/female-murde...

The percentage of females murdered by an intimate partner was 5 times higher than for males
Of the estimated 4,970 female victims of murder and nonnegligent manslaughter in 2021, data reported by law enforcement agencies indicate that 34% were killed by an intimate partner (figure 1). By comparison, about 6% of the 17,970 males murdered that year were victims of intimate partner homicide.
Overall, 76% of female murders and 56% of male murders were perpetrated by someone known to the victim. About 16% of female
murder victims were killed by a nonintimate family member-parent, grandparent, sibling, in-law, and other family member-compared to 10% of male murder victims.
A larger percentage of males (21%) were murdered by a stranger than females (12%). For 1 out of every 3 male murder victims and 1 out of every 5 female murder victims, the relationship between the victim and the offender was unknown.

I know it's the primary, it's still kinda wild that the turnout so far is only ~24.35% for King County and ~26.49% for Seattle with mail in ballots seems low.

No one will save you, you have to care about and try to help yourself. Others won’t do it for you. Then once you’re in a good spot, find others who have also done the work. So many people are naive and/or don’t want to disrupt what benefits them, and fuck is it exhausting.

Most of the Group 3 dogs - which had previously learned that nothing they did had any effect on shocks - simply lay down passively and whined when they were shocked. (5)
