Thanks for the mention! But the only reason the poster looks as good as it does is because I had good assets to work with. Lerd's model, your lighting and Sticky's albedos are the stars. This is to say there are really talented people already on board and any help is greatly appreciated!

So I decided to post this as an incentive for myself to actually get around and finishing it. It's a little ornate hand grenade. I still need to think about how I want the spoon to mate with the main body and how the pin will look among other details.
