Gosh dang it, I wish I saw this one first. I was at a bar last night talking about this video, and when someone pulled this up, I cackled like I was crazy.

Here we go! Here's my Final assignment for the class I took. We were given a 1 page script to board, then given audio from Kendell Byrd to animate to. Li's usual classes get 2 weeks, but we got 4 weeks to do this. Utterly consumed my month and I'm definitely looking forward to fixing this up one day

Happy to be back with the Rick and Morty crew for the big Season 10!

Might as well post it here! A magical girl animation I've been slowly chipping at over the weekends for ages.

It's Friday again! Here's week 4 of my animation class assignments. One left! The goal for this one is to animate a character laughing, crying, screaming using a few shots. 1 week, 10 seconds limit. Wanted to do something a bit more subtle, but also went a bit too long in the set up.

Here's my week 3 assignment for animation class. Take a character about to score a point and then exaggerate the pose and break the model. Had 1 week to do this one, limit of 7 seconds. Took me a bit to settle in on an idea I liked, so it'd be nice to go back in an redo this one, one day.

Here's week 2 of my class assignments. We were tasked to take an Olympic throw reference and animate a character to it. Week 1 for 5 seconds. It's nice getting an excuse to animate Farron again.

Very thankful for Li's redlines. It shook me with how subtle you need to be to really nail it and the before and after of this assignment is so stark that I'll never let it see the light of day lol

Our week 0 assignment was this, but with a mannequin head to focus on the motion. Since Li does work in anime and I mainly work with western animation puppets, it was a definite shock to get me to try to do anything resembling an anime style.

I'll be posting my assignments from the animation class I took recently! Since it's a character acting class; it'll focus on that. This one was a simple head turn, 1 week to do it, a limit of 3 seconds in length.

Hoping to post my assignments from class soon! But wanted to do a little thank you post first since I've wrapped up this 11 week sprint of learning character animation from @licree.bsky.social through @warriorartcamp.bsky.social. Big recommends from me and it was the boost I needed.

Thankfully, it *seems* to have been just on Instagram, but I wanted to post here, since that could happen *anywhere.*

Trouble is, unless there were people alerting me to it, I would've never known since the account was fresh. It also happened to another friend. So let your peeps know that you aren't out there asking for money!

Earlier today I got alerted that there is (was?) an account impersonating me on Instagram. Claimed to be me, having my account suspended, and altered the username by 1 character.

To Wacom? Xencelabs. I believe some of the developers for it came from Wacom.

What a powerfully loving way to send a beloved family member off. My deepest condolences for your loss, but what a blessing it is to be able to be surrounded by loved ones as they rest.

Yeah, can't get rid of dust really. So I also suggest regular use of air purifiers and changing the filters often. Dunno if you're trying to protect displays of something, but getting a nice display box also at least makes the surface cleaning easier by separating you for it.

Should probably point out Sonny Boy, the anime lmao

000

Robert Mariazeta @leopanthera.bsky.social · 17/12/2025

Just finished watching Sonny Boy yesterday. Really enjoyed the dream-like nature and long moments of silence it uses to convey ideas and emotional weight. I have no clue what it attempts to say metaphorically, but it feels worthy enough to unpack and explore.

Ooohh yeaah! Always love seeing people's top picks for board games. 1) Lords of Vegas 2) Root 3) Tokaido 4) Red Dragon Inn 5) Gloomhaven 6) Great Western Trail (2nd Ed) 7) Galaxy Truckers 8) Bunny Kingdom 9) Pandemic 10) Dutch Blitz (do card games count?) If not Dice Forge

Yeah, last time I did this, I hopped into the line to process the order at 9:03 am and it wasn't until like 4pm that I could buy anything. Simply ridiculous.

Aaaaaand done! Another season of Rick and Morty in the bag. Happy to have gotten to see this one through and looking forward to seeing what the world thinks of it when it gets out. Then I can actually watch the show lol But I'm looking forward to resetting and having a bit of a break.

We've experimented with cat print, but lately we've been using a local print shop Color Images.

quick draw what you're wearing, 5 minutes max Hebus shmired-

A drawing of a single character waving at the viewer, wearing a simple, warm-colored outfit, and a text box that says "Ha ha I'm tired".

I don't think they did? I'm going through Gargoyles right now, and we're entering The Gathering arc. They did go to France, but that episode was about Thailog and Demona.

I mean yes, the answer is yes. The amount of times I've cursed the inability to rapidly sew to just even do minor repairs on clothes due to lack of a machine is countless.

Yeah, when my wife was looking up references for medieval villages a lot of it was AI generated, and that was just Google. She added a tag to search for images taken/made before 2016 to try to filter that stuff out.

Ayyyeee, this is a great comic. Really appreciate you putting this out there. Noticed a somewhat similar behavior in some coworkers that would pick one thing to know about me, and suddenly, that's my whole deal. I also like seeing wordy comics and how they're laid out. Good examples to learn from!

Oh yeah! Bunny Kingdom is a great game. Drafting game with area control elements. The art is beautiful, the tiny bunnies are great, but be prepared for a lot of math. They *are* good at multiplying after all.

Omg, this Lightbox expo was great. Only saw a tiny fraction, but the exhibit hall was great and full of amazing artists. Could've dropped too much money and sad I couldn't have. Real happy to see so many people see my wife and support her by getting prints and her art book.

Oh man, LBX day 3! Haven't posted anything about it because I've been dead set on helping out my wife table, but it's been so exciting. I see why people table at cons now. So tired, but it's so cool meeting new artists!

I hear you, it's so bad. There is a route you can take using the metro though. Pasadena metro to Union Station then take the Flyaway Shuttle to LAX.

I go for Old Navy, but I've been leaning more into their slacks. Got some good stretch to em that make me feel like a spry teen.

This is rad as hell! It's art like this that keeps me collecting.

Honestly, the glaze is only *somewhat* noticeable. I think it can be pretty passable for casual consumption on the phone, and you gotta stop and stare to really see it.

I was late on the Twitter train on account of being an old man who dont need more social medias, but it is kind of nice to start with everyone else on a new platform.
