It's finally done (...pending last minute changes)

The edge of a woman in a white flowing dress sitting on an old log surrounded by nettles. Beside the log are mossy rocks and a very narrow clear running stream that cascades in a series of steps. On the other side of the stream is dense foliage and tall spikes of monkshood flowers.

The leaves of a weeping willow tree hang above nettles, pink foxglove flowers, and a nearby pond.

Dense foliage of tall stinging nettles which surround the base of a foxglove plant. On the rocky ground nearby is much green dogs mercury covering the floor.

I may have gone a little far with this one

Just seen my first hummingbird hawk moth!

A tiny light brown moth with partly orange wings and a long proboscus hovers over deep purple buddleia flowers.

One of the Blondi was out today so thought id show her off. Not fully grown but still earning her namesake of “Goliath” 😅

Not a tarantula picture today, but a snake one!… or at least the enclosure 😅 This is my enclosure for my Rhino Rat pair, for when they come out of brumation and hopefully produce their second year clutch! Last year was my first attempt at breeding and we got the 2 hatchlings 🥳 (cont…)

Hope everyone had a great Christmas, if not then next year can be a new beginning 💪 And in terms of new beginnings I thought this year I’d start a fresh Balfouri enclosure. This is what I’m rocking so far. Now just need the spiders 😅 That log is a phenomenal piece of decoration though.

Enclosure set up for a communal spider family, no spiders yet though.

Made up a new enclosure for the Green Bottle Blue (Chromatopelma cyaneopubscens) but more verticality and less plants, no need for many plants if hopefully this lovely lady will start webbing everything up. Beautiful tarantula species in terms of colour and a really cool Webber.

An old photo of the balfouri enclosure that I found cute, looks like little ducklings following the mother 😭. I should start a new balfouri enclosure, amazing species that never fails to impress.

The main artworks for Space Marine 2, A Plague Tale: Requiem and Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden next to each other. Space Marine 2: Titus, a heavily armored Space Marine wielding a massive chainsword on a gray background. A Plague Tale: Requiem: a close-up of Hugo, a young boy and Amicia, a girl. They both look extremely serious. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden: Red and Antea, the main characters, staring at the viewer. They are holding hands, and Red is also holding a torch. The background looks spectral.

Just another test of the larger acrylics, this time with its intended recipient: Theraphosa Blondi - Goliath birdeater sub adult female. Monster size tarantula once she’s fully grown so she’ll need it. A few different angles of it and one of her feeding. Wonderful species. 🙏

New addition! Had a juvenile male and this beauty was available. Introducing the Golden Blue Leg Baboon, new to the enclosure so not too much webbing yet but give her some time and she’ll dig and web to her hearts content. 🙏 Another wonderful tarantula species. 🫡

Bought a new type of acrylic enclosure for larger terrestrials (bird eaters and stuff) thought I’d try one out first with a M.Robustum, not adult or anything so looks pretty small in that big enclosure haha. Wanted to give them loads of room 🙏

What good lighting and a fresher moult does to a tarantula pic, same P.Metallica but taken yesterday after she came out for a drink. Gorgeous as always, just not as blue 🙏

Trigger warning-Frozen Mice Carnivore feeding Finally got my captive bred rhino rat babies to start taking pinkies. Gonyosoma boulengeri is a beautiful snake and my favourite, only problem is getting the babies to feed, won’t type a whole essay on tips but if any one needs them just let me know!

Don’t own a pumpkin patch tarantula (Hapolopus Sp) so sadly don’t have the PERFECT Halloween spider 🙇 However I own some Pamphobeteus Nigricolour slings… which are kind of Halloween-ey, I guess? 😅 The adults of this species are truly wonderful by the way, really nice looking.

Anyone potentially willing to sponsor Eerie and help out with her care? I've exploited literally every option to get this girl to a good home or rescue and no one is able/capable, so she's going to have to stay with us. She's a 10ft retic and nowhere near done growing.

Can’t do tarantula posts without a P.Metallica post, the lighting was excellent here with her at the front of her tank, wonderful species (not just for the gorgeous colours!) for some reason I love the look of pine ones in enclosures too 🙇
