I'm so tired of AI. Like seriously are we going to have to just give up on the internet because some assholes can't stop themselves from trying to shortcut everything they do? If I can't reply to a message and be sure that an actual human being sent it, I'm just going to stop replying messages.

Anyone can be sexist. Anyone can be racist. Anyone can be homophobic. Anyone can be ableist. Anyone can be transphobic. Nobody is above it. The moment you think you are, you leave yourself defenseless against it.

I can't always determine who is and isn't worthy of trust. But I tend to trust people who carry books with them. Because while I might not be able to tell who will lie to me, at least I know that someone well-read is more likely to be lying for a good reason.

Controversial take: Schools should be able to expel students for the rest of the year if they exhibit bad behavior which doesn't improve within an acceptable timeframe. A student making classes unteachable shouldn't be kept in class on the grounds that they have not been violent.

I have long believed that modern microwaves are a perfect example of the problems with capitalism. It costs money to install a system that makes annoying beeps every time you press the buttons. They then charge you more for microwaves that do not have the annoyance to which you have been acclimated.

Conspiracy Theory #746 - Technology companies make phone keywords bad on purpose so that they can develop a database of people's voices for voice recognition, as more people will use voice to text if their keyboards are garbage.

The MiG fighter developed by the USSR lacked any form of hydraulic power control. The pilots would have to physically exert enough force to counteract the effects of high-speed winds in order to perform maneuvers. As a result the pilots would often do hundreds of pushups a day, to maintain fitness.
