because, I saw this and other stories and now I'm curious... these guys (ByteGrid) were involved in some election issues in Maryland (2018) and were quietly shifted in 2015 to russian ownership.

have an #Autumn barn, from 2024. pen and ink, alcohol markers. I remember large barns like this on the farms around Costa Mesa in the early 60s. they were long gone by the 70s.

A positive note. In 2019 I planted a specimen, yellow African tulip, which almost immediately lost all signs of life, trying to endure these canyons. I was going to remove it but decided to just remove the top and nurse a few side sprouts. today, it flowered for the first time in seven years.

took a walk around the local lake, spotted a peregrine falcon lurking in a jacaranda tree. I wondered, do they fish in the lake? Hunt little rodents? #borntowonder

only an ex #programmer would draw a picture which features recursion, no? #alcohol-markers and #ink on postcard stock, 15 to a pack at Blick's

a picture in alcohol markers and ink of a coffee cup on a wood grain table with steam vapors behind which is a window open to outside with a view of waves breaking on a beach and a sunset the rest of the room is kind of dingy little bit stained but most importantly on the wall hangs a picture of the exact same scene so the picture has recursion.

5-volt boost regulator hand build, based on Max767. the 8-pin DIP version is now over $7US. The 767 is a great little workhorse converter, which will work down to under .7volts if there's sufficient current. #electronics #diy

was watching an old episode of Naked City from '58 and spotted Jessica Walter in a tiny (and uncredited) part as a maid in a Park Avenue luxury apartment. she only has one line but her phone call to the police sets off the entire plot.

small, passive #circuit adapts a very low impedance (8-32 ohms) stereo headphone jack (remember those?) on just about any device to higher impedance (1.6K) mono (with a L/R balance control) balanced, or unbalanced. I use this with tablet-based test gear to drive and test some of my #audio designs.
