Added ‘a little bit extra’ to one of my chapters and now it’s 11.000 words long. Yeah, time to split.

I just came across this editing book 3. If there is a single sentence in my books that could embody what I write about, this would probably be it: The kind-hearted hero was a myth, for even a second of defilement by the horrors of war could rip away all semblance of purity.

Over halfway through my final edit of book 3. I’m exploring some spinoffs as well, to offer something that doesn’t require new readers to go through this whole series. Which may not be too much of a concern for book 3, but as this goes on, it’s going to be necessary.

I feel this so much. It just isn’t safe. Unfortunately, it’s also exactly where my fiancée lives. This really sucks.

Any friends here with their books on KU? My lovely fiancée is looking for some spicy stuff.

I finally have a critical review. That means I’m a real author now, right?

Carved From Ashes just launched! A huge thanks for all the amazing reviews so far. I can't wait to keep this series going, and I love being able to write these stories for you all. I have some crazy plans for the future of this series, and I hope you join me for that. Link in bio!

Carved From Ashes launches tomorrow! Super happy with all the amazing reviews thus far. Knowing other people love this series I’ve dedicated 15 years of my life to is nothing short of incredible. Here’s to 15 years more 🥂 #booksky

So much for focusing on writing. I’ve unexpectedly been offered more mind-numbing work, but I need the money, so I can’t afford to say no. That said, if anyone would like to donate $0.99 and help rescue me from capitalism, my new book is coming out March 13th

020

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 04/03/2025

Hey, you. Yeah, you. 🫵 My second book is launching next week. March 13th. It’s available for preorder now. Both this and the first book are only $0.99 each. It’s a steal. Basically theft. Go rob me. Link in bio.

After more than a week of formatting struggles, I think I’m finally nearing the end of it all. I can actually breathe. Well, at least regarding this. Can someone please tell the US to calm down? I’d like to not have to wait 4 years to visit my American girlfriend again

000

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 01/03/2025

Launch is only two weeks away, but I’m just spending a full week dealing with formatting issues instead of marketing, as one does. Huge shout out to my ARC readers though. You guys are amazing and I would not be able to do any of this without you all.

How is there a typo in a simple sentence I vividly remember reading dozens of times? This has to be some sort of skill.

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 22/02/2025

Just spending my day writing name pronunciations for 42 characters because one reader once mentioned they appreciated me doing this for my last book, when I only had 9 named characters. Can’t wait to see what this glossary is going to look like at the end of the series with all my 700+ characters.

The thing about me is: if I have an easy task, I will not rest until it’s complicated.

000

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 21/02/2025

I’m discovering so much formatting my second novel that I want to slap my old self. I made it so difficult for no reason.

000

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 13/02/2025

Carved From Ashes is still a month away, but I had a little peek at what I already wrote for the next book last year. Two pages in, and I’m crying. It hits way too hard. Can’t wait to publish this one Q3 this year and make everyone else cry too.

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 12/02/2025

If anyone wants the chance to leave a negative review without the risk of being attacked by the author for it, I have a book coming out March 13th. It’s a sequel, which means the first book is already available — 2 chances to leave a negative review!

010

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 12/02/2025

When I mentioned the Gulf of Mexico in my upcoming book, I was so sure that would be one of the least controversial things happening in the story. Life really throws you curveballs.

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 06/02/2025

One thing that’s becoming abundantly clear: reality doesn't conform to the standards of realism by which we judge fiction. It’s pretty frustrating. Some of us meticulously sculpt stories to make them seem believable. Reality doesn’t give a shit, and for some reason, we all buy it anyway.

000

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 03/02/2025

Almost done with my final read of Carved From Ashes, and then it can go out into the world. All I’ll say: it’s fucking fun. There’s so much to this story, it hits so many serious and difficult topics, but the main thing is that it’s just fun. My face hurts from the constant smile I have on my face

000

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 01/02/2025

After Talos Awakening I figured I needed to adjust the pace a bit for the sequel to give people room to breathe. Now that I’m reading Carved From Ashes one last time, I can say that… I failed completely. It’s fast as shit. I have 70 of these novels planned, we need to get through it, people!

000

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 29/01/2025

Reading Carved From Ashes one final time, it’s definitely a lot more spicy than Talos Awakening. Do people like spice? 👀

000

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

I thought it be nice to include a glossary with descriptions at the end of my first novel. It was a pretty self contained story, so it didn’t take me too long. The sequel has like 10 times more items to list in the glossary. Past me did not think ahead enough.

000

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

I’ve been working on the formatting for Carved From Ashes, getting it all ready for my final read through. ARC copies are going out at the start of next month. It’s very exciting (and slightly terrifying) to have a new book out there soon.

Can’t believe TT is really gone. These billionaires are really doing everything in their power to sabotage my relationship. Sending each other TT’s was basically our love language.

I see a lot of good people following me. Now, I’m trying to keep my author accounts book related, so I might not follow back if that’s not part of your profile. That said, I do appreciate everyone in their fight for democracy and a better world, and that will always be reflected in my fiction.

So immediately after my post (on Threads) blew up and got me like 35 ARC signups, I got offered a new job. Which is also why I’ve been busy. If anyone is wondering, I’m just keeping the ARC signups open. It’s a two book deal. Grounded sci-fi thrillers. Good stuff. Link in bio.

It’s a critical time for marketing for my upcoming book, but I’m not sure if I have it in me today. There’s some nasty stuff going on in my personal life. If anyone’s interested in ARC reading, link in bio. Grounded scifi, some spice. That’s all I’ve got. Wish my family some luck.

I’ve been a bit busy, so happy new year everyone! When I lost my sales streak in June last year, I stopped checking my sales to save myself from disappointment. Turns out I sold a book for the last three months of the year. I have no idea who I have to thank, but thank you. It means everything.

000

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 30/12/2024

In our family, the new year is always celebrated with a large amount of unhealthy homemade snacks. I have IBS, so I’m trying to get some tummy friendly variations going this year. Wish me luck. I’m also working on something related to my upcoming book launch, but not sure where it will go yet.

000

Nothing like looking at your double digit income from book sales to know it can only go up from here. Here’s to 2025 lol

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 25/12/2024

I’ve been off socials for a while, but trying to get back into the flow of things because I really need to prepare for my upcoming book and find more ARC readers. So, here’s my new post back. Merry Christmas, friends.

000

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 14/12/2024

This month has been (and will be) much too busy for me to keep to my ARC and release plans. I should have anticipated this, but I always overestimate my ability to keep on schedule. Anyway, the dates will probably move a month. Hopefully no more than that.

000

Len F. Fisher - Author @lenffisherauthor.bsky.social · 02/12/2024

I only have a week left with my girlfriend until it’s time to go home again. I probably won’t be spending much time on socials. So, I just want to ask, do me a huge favor and visit my linktree for the ARC and see what it’s about and please sign up if it sounds interesting to you. Love you all.
