I know there’s a new Lizzie Borden show. It reminded me that there’s a photo of her, full face, not partially turned away, that looks a lot like Tom Hanks to me. The resemblance always surprises me. Now I need to see if they’re related… This is the one that looks like him to me.

Little fella was sleeping outside the window that overlooks the roof of our back porch. My son was upstairs and saw him, and took pics, and this is when the flash from my son’s camera phone woke the little guy up. I love his hand on the window!

This was my sweet old boy, who I dearly miss. He was the best boy ever, and would come over to sit quietly for his insulin shots twice a day. We call this his "floating on clouds" pic. His name was Zaphod, and I still miss having him curl up with me at night.

It really does! We had one grey cat, Joe, who had serious emotional issues we were thinking might make him difficult with other cats, but had planned to take in one stray tabby/white mix from the front porch, with our fingers crossed. Then my brother found a tiny starving void, Pterri, so... 🤷

Harlan, a tabby with white belly and paws, belly up on the loveseat, sleeping happily . He's a very goofy, easy going little guy .

Big boy Joe has decided he really does like other kitties when those kitties are Pterri, although he's not as sure about Harlan . No fighting, but Joe does occasionally show his displeasure at having to share Pterri's playtime with Harlan .

Mom and brother coming for lunch with us tomorrow. I’ve got Italian “beef” in crockpot (but made with a pork roast that was 1/3 the price of beef) and pulled a cherry-frangipane pie out of the oven. Made with Marie Callender crust, because my energy is low. Table is decluttered. Now I can rest!👍🏻

Three masked fellows have been causing a ruckus on our back porch roof after having a feast of kitty kibble outside. Harlan is slightly concerned they may break in and eat *his* kibble next.😆 One bold miscreant is certainly giving him the eye in return.

My Joe was a tiny feral. I invested 3 years of blood from deep bites & clawings, came so close to giving up at times. Now he's my heart-to-heart boy, a sweet goofy cat. I'm so glad I didn't give up on him, because I'm sure he'd have been put to sleep at the shelter the first time he bit someone.

A Brigid's Cross pendant. Such crosses are woven from rushes or straw, and are a symbol of Brigid, who was a pagan goddess, although also representing the Christian version of Brigid, who was named a saint.

I’m damn near stove in. Baked a scratch cake for Mom and brother’s birthday celebration tomorrow. Making a pot of gumbo for the same. And baking a focaccia with lemon and rosemary for tonight, will heat up a jar of home canned soup to go with. I’m too decrepit for all this cooking in one day.🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Homemade pasta sauce simmering, & it smells wonderful. I'm irritated, though, because I browned ground pork with seasonings to make sausage for it, but outta the 800 spices in my kitchen, couldn't for the life of me find the fennel seed for the sausage. It'll still be great, but how annoying! Gotta
