As a very noise-sensitive person, it's insane how inescapable noise is. I had to soak my ear in some water for Reasons, and I put my ear in the water and the water was LOUD. Why is the water so loud?!?! My hard-core heavy industrial noise ear muffs are the only things that can make my world quiet.

For Reasons I need to start having my vocal synth output the aspiration sounds (/s/, etc.) separately from everything else. It's wild hearing these with Careless Whisper. It's like...Careless Whisper But Death Metal. It's not just consonants, but the aspiration components of all the notes.

It's wild thinking back to some of this stuff. We lived in my grandparents' house until I was 6. They had an oil furnace/tank and it always scared me. I didn't like going to that part of the basement. I was last down there in my 30s and that furnace *still* felt primal/ominous/unsettling to me.

The two most cursed places I've been are Phoenix, AZ (or more accurately, Scottsdale) and Fayette County, PA. Both of those places have very serious "this place is...wrong" energy. I went jogging around Scottsdale a couple times and felt like I was in the Black Hole Sun video.

For me it was the nightly news c. 1979-80. Some pediatric public health problem was making the rounds and they were saying how kids everywhere were getting shots for it. I can't find any good photos of it (stuff like this is hard to photograph), but this one gives the basic idea. Bisexual colors fade very slowly. Speaking of tessellation, these tests weren't origami tessellations, just single uncut paper pieces, but I made a bunch for xmas that year and loved them.

I'm finding myself playing both a dressmaking game and a murder mystery box.
