I’m prepping a thread 🧵 on Christian nationalism in America. As a former believer, I saw firsthand Christian reactions to Bill Clinton. Make no mistake, churches ignore their 501(c)(3) non-profit rule barring them from endorsing or opposing political candidates, especially now under Trump’s IRS.

The Diplomat’s fictional president seems to exercise reason and purpose on a level where most people would go along or cave under the stress and intimidation. And they nearly do. The real U.S. president hasn’t even risen to a level of reasonability or responsibility, thus the contrast is stark.
