Photons are not subject to time. Time is just part of the canvas they are stuck to, unchangingly, like a static spot of paint.

We must understand light sub specie aeternitatis, from the perspective of timelessness. These waves are topological and not events. These waves do not start, move, change, develop, progress, or end. They are features, not events.

It is understood that electromagnetic waves are excitations of spacetime. What I think is more difficult to grasp is that these are only waves like paintings of waves or sculptures of waves are waves. They are not like the waves we have in time, like waves of the ocean.
