Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 13/10/2026when i work on a song, i feel like i have no clue how it actually sounds or feels until i do this, its so so crucial 010

Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 11/09/2026The fact that I thought this wasn't a joke... Says a lot about society 001
Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 29/08/2026i realized the same impulse that was making me cringe at him was the same thing that was keeping me from engaging with Any New Music Ever and it was rotting my brain, i sorta assume a lot of the ppl dogging on him are suffering from the same thing and i just don't think its healthy long term 120
Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 29/08/2026yes!!!! hes made a mix of music i adore and music i dont like at all but i could spend hours just listening to his outlook and philosophy on music, its something that is desperately needed in the extremely cynical and demotivating landscape musicians are in nowadays 140
Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 07/08/2026happy bandcamp friday...! wish i'd have more stuff to put out there but i'm gonna plug these songs regardless lentunes.bandcamp.com/album/life-w...lentunes.bandcamp.comlife without music, by lentunes2 track album 010
Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 21/06/2026shifting the focus to like... the conscious eq and mix decisions and the Actual People Performing the Music feels very needed like i want the target audience of this video to have their world shattered a bit so they can appreciate what actually makes music good 020

Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 26/05/2026im probably wrong but i kinda blame modern gaming culture, a lot of it is like when a weird or unexpected thing happens in a game, you ask to speak to the manager and it gets patched out, instead of laughing and having fun with it because what else can you do 3350
Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 25/05/2026you can squeeze a lot of length out of just that 1 loop by turning certain instruments on/off, like you could leave just the drums and bass to make room for a lead/voice, etc, or start with one instrument as an intro trying to think of a completely different idea and just tacking it on can work too 000
Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 24/05/2026i think the more i agonize over whether its the right conditions, its just never gonna be fully right, so might as well take the plunge (i say as someone who never tries any new games or anything ever) 010
Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 11/05/2026so so true, i don't really know what will happen in the future but i can't see myself NOT making or engaging with music in some way, and i think even if you get a little lost in the sauce/isolated, music is a unifying force at the end of the day, i love all the people i've found/will find thru music 010
Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 06/05/2026Here's why you SUCK at music! You aren't using Today's Sponsor 010
Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 06/05/2026If I followed you I'm sorry I probably don't really know your music at all i just like your takes 120
Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 28/04/2026and its not necessarily some rigorous academic thing, you can find so many useful youtube channels and websites that will give you examples of various concepts in a digestible and fun way, and also just composing and experimenting yourself will give you a deeper understanding of music, too 010
Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 28/04/2026for more concrete stuff, i find theory important in that learning what kinds of chords there are and how they go together (especially on a keyboard) doesn't *directly* lead to good compositions, BUT it helps you understand what your favorite songs are doing and bring them into ur own work 110
Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 28/04/2026By positive mindset like... keeping in mind you have a unique voice that the world will want to hear, and making music is fun and something you really love to do. I think it's better than focusing too much on lofty goals (not that it's bad to have them!) but it can be daunting and demotivating 210
Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 28/04/2026Im just like randomly seeing this post but im glad you have released stuff before, bc a lot of ppl struggle to reach that point at all. It's not the only thing that helped me become a better musician, but simply finishing and releasing stuff and getting reception helped me a lot.Positive mindset too 110
Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 13/04/2026Every album takes the best song from the last one and samples it like a battle royale 110
Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 10/04/2026Imo the process of learning these kinds of things is communal (like if i were in this situation i'd try to ask a friend who's good at visualizers) i think ai companies thrive off of people further isolating themselves by skipping this process 000
Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 09/04/2026i dont see how someone could call themselves a creative if they see art and music like boxes to be ticked off a checklist that they can just prompt and generate away, instead of valuable areas where they can express themselves further, even if it's imperfect 010

Lenny @len-tunes.bsky.social · 26/04/2025for the pain, see if you can get light gauge strings, i use .010-.047 gauge on my acoustic guitar and it feels very easy and non painful :) or, tuning down and putting a capo on can do the trick too 010
