If anyone wants to see why this specific did:web couldn't log in. TL;DR bsky handle resolver returns the wrong DID from a stale index. Now I use the authoritative source.

bsky.social returns a did:plc that *used* to be associated to that handle, which is now pointing to a did:web

Looks like the issue is the way the draft edit page is resolving handles for did:web accounts. this is super helpful, thank you! I'll do some troubleshooting. I might be able to pinpoint the exact problem and get it fixed by tomorrow.

The link looks correct. Maybe the session expired? Are you still logged in if you hard reload?

The PDS has a /account page. For Bluesky it's bsky.social/account

I need to look into this because I can't reproduce it. Just in case there's something stale cached by the browser could you hard reload the page once more? If I'm not mistaken, clicking on your draft should take you to lemma.pub/did:web:fry6... where you should be able to edit/delete

Clicking on the title for the draft should open it for editing. Is that not working for you? I can't reproduce it on a draft I just created.

Each pub belongs to a site (Lemma, Leaflet, etc). If you have multiple pubs for Lemma they will show up as a dropdown and you can select the one you want to use. You can see the pubs and articles from other platforms but you can only write for pubs on the current platform.

On no, that doesn't sound right, I'm not able to reproduce your issue. While writing a brand new draft, the save button saves while leaving the editor open for you to continue. Navigating home will show you your drafts. Opening one will show the Delete button.

Currently, all data on the protocol is public. You have read-only access to anybody's posts, likes, blocks, etc. You can access them programmatically or through sites like pds.ls. Non-public data is coming soon.

There's definitely room for improvement on that screen (in this case, the Bluesky PDS). It's not that obvious but if you click on the tiny help icons it tells you exactly what permissions are being requested. For example: create/update/delete on site.standard.document records.

Yes OAuth is the preferred way to do atproto auth. That’s what all modern apps use, including us. App passwords are the older way to do it, before OAuth came out.

Excalidraw and Drawio are saved as PNGs that embed their own source (JSON/XML) and a type marker so they can be edited. They're distributed via CDN which re-encodes as JPEG stripping the source. That's why re-editing fetches the original bytes from the PDS. Haven't looked into how lexidraw does it.

At some point I'll probably buy ads to reach more people. So far I've been focused on building something I think is cool and has been missing from social media/publishing.

It's a blogging platform with specialized tools for technical writing, music, and other features. It's a 1-person operation. I don't have AI ads, in fact I don't have ads at all. It exists because I wanted to build something new and hopefully others would find it useful.
