Both candidates refusing to answer if it's moral to be a billionaire just sums the situation up perfectly. Also shows how stupid it is under MMP to have a Just Chris debate, the other parties would answer differently.

The positioning of foreign aid as the direct obstacle to increased health investment is a very Trumpian worldview, and one I hoped we had put to bed after the Judith Collins election failure. I hope the public rejects it now as they did then.

South American elections are always so intense because the candidates will be Jesus Christ and Satan and the polls will be on a knife edge. Also lol at Brazilians in Israel voting 74.40% for Satan

Seems like a decent principle of market competitiveness would be that wholesalers must not favour any particular retailer (especially not any retailer they own). Is this not a simple rule that would help fix our current list of expensive things? Groceries, electricity, digital streaming etc

The Māori party are attempting to subvert our democracy by asking for electorate votes only to purposely create an overhang!! Us patriots can stop this ploy by increasing the Māori party vote! That's why I'm encouraging all my ACT and National voting friends to party vote Te Pāti Māori!!

One of the qualities of a bubble that investor Jeremy Grantham identifies is that people start to believe that "the market *can't* go down". Retail investors believe that the US will intervene so that AI stocks can only go up, which rephrases Grantham's other warning phrase "This time is different"

Aesthetic preference is NOT absolutely relative/subjective. The people who complain that wind turbines spoil their view of farm land are objectively morons. If you confuse industrial pasture with nature, you are stupid. Imagine looking at a horizon of bare grass and thinking it beautiful. Dullards.

Streaming sucks now. 80 years ago the US Supreme Court ruled that companies making movies as well as distributing them was anti-competitive. We should back that rule and ban streaming exclusivity. Alternatively (and preferably), abolish intellectual property

We shouldn't cut super eligibility. But I do agree it's going to be a huge budget burden and increase inequality when we go from 5 workers supporting superannuants to 2. Fairest fix would be to tax inheritance. Wealth accumulated in housing inaccessible to the younger generation can pay for the old

Te Ara Tupua cycleway to Petone is great and much needed, but at $10,000 per metre (by my rough estimate for the cycleway itself, not the resiliency cost) it shows there is something wrong with how we build in NZ. Our privatised, market-sourced infrastructure is not cost efficient!

A lot of environmental damage that people blame on capitalism is actually due to industrialisation generally. A socialist economy might be required to address these issues, but it's not guaranteed to on its own. Add a bit of nuance and deeper thought to your criticism than just 'end capitalism'

The push back from some of the Aussie public against charging Ben Roberts-Smith shows how war requires dehumanisation so that the taboo against killing can be lifted. For these people, there is no difference between civilian and combatant because the whole nationality has been dehumanised.

The PM has no critical thinking. He is barely political at all. His world view comes solely and only from being both a corporate businessman and Christian evangelical, both of which lead to uncritical support for the US no matter what, including when they are illegally bombing school children
