One fun part of modeling is trying on something I would normally never buy for myself, just to see what happens. I am completely comfortable being nude in front of a camera. It feels natural. But when the photographer handed me this micro bikini for our shoot, I actually hesitated. >>

I don't know about happy. But I know it makes me see myself a lot clearer. And if it does the same for the people looking at the images, then the work is doing exactly what it’s supposed to do.

And then there were the models. The survey said being seen as a work of art dramatically improved their self-esteem. I've always called it photo therapy. The survey concluded that nude art makes people happier.

The photographers in the survey talked about meaning and connection. I know that feeling from the other side of the lens. Every set I release is built on trust first. If something feels off, I say it. When the communication is clear, the room gets quiet, the focus narrows, and the art happens.

The audience in the survey said this kind of art gives them permission to appreciate human beauty without shame. They said it helps them look past normal beauty standards. I understand that. My frame has always been built more for physical discipline than delicate beauty.

What Nude Art Actually Does I read a survey recently that asked a simple question: How does nude art affect people's lives? They asked models, photographers, and the audience. The results were interesting, mostly because they put words to things I've felt for a long time but rarely talk about.
