Had an HVAC repair company try to tell us we needed to replace our entire HVAC system in our 10 yr old house. After getting a 2nd opinion, we found out it was an easy fix and the first guy turned off a switch on our A/C unit to make us think it was broken.

My step grandfather died from doing this. Had brain surgery and had severe pain afterwards but was hiding it, took obscene amounts of OTC meds to deal with it. It ruined his whole digestive system and he died from starvation.

I met my husband at 22. He had a job, a car, a little house that was clean, real furniture, and thoughtfully decorated. He had hobbies like photography, design, and music. He had a great group of friends. It feels like a low bar but I was 22. He was the first adult man I'd dated. I was enthralled.
