Neither please. Can we have leaders instead of politicians?

Hi, you gorgeous lot! I‘ve set myself the goal of moving into music full-time this year, in any capacity. So if anyone is hiring writers/PR people, or wants help promoting/managing bands, please let me know. Equally, I‘m interested in any jobs that are very guitarrey! Thank you.

I've been on here since the very early days, but still have my X account. Great arguments on both sides in this thread. But the fact that I haven't posted on X or even opened the app for months, means I am going to cut it loose.

It's Facebook Live time tonight. I have a fantastic regular crew who attend every fortnight to listen, sing along, and generally shoot the breeze and it's the highlight of my otherwise dull existence haha. Hope you can join in 2 hours at 7.30pm Melbourne time.... www.facebook.com/leighthomasm...

Yes you will get a few posts from me this week about my album "Explore." Not pushing this in the traditional sense/ cannot be arsed to shovel up $ to curators etc.. we know the game.. just relying on word of mouth... Every sale on my Bandcamp really helps... michiemusic.bandcamp.com/album/explore

as a personal user, I hate it and rarely use my personal profile and timeline.

It's a good thought, but I have my doubts. It's hard to get people to change their habits, but it might be worth a try, and maybe I would pick up some newbies. I do feel that BC is mainly used by artists though, not so much general public. The other thing is, I can tolerate FB just for live, but...

I hate Meta too Annika. But unfortunately my live stream crew are all I have, so need FB to reach them and play to 🧟

Clunky I can deal with. I like the fact that it is decentralized and apparently algo free...for now.

This sounds promising. Might check it out. Hopefully it becomes a useful SM platform as opposed to Meta, which has become a total shitshow.

It's pretty cool isn't it! My son did all the special effects on it, so I'm a bit biased haha. He is in the credits somewhere, but the owner of the company he worked for took most of the credit, and did none of the work lol.

That sounds a bit perilous. Hang in there. TBH I didn't really enjoy the break, it wasn't something I chose. A switch flicked and I just couldn't engage with anyone or anything. At least now I am trying to foster the desire to do so. I hope things get better for you. You deserve it.
