Today is the 1 year anniversary of me quitting my long term full time job at the fruit 🍎 stand to bet on myself as an artist. It’s been challenging, rewarding and I’ve honestly never been happier. Having a less than predictable income in this climate is terrifying 1/2 🎨

I went ahead and took my pile of filled moleskine ink sketchbooks over to my studio yesterday. They’ve been collecting dust on a bookshelf at home, and people seem to enjoy looking through stuff like that, so if you come by for a visit at High Road Gallery, feel free to pop by and flip through! #art

Experimenting with gouache a bit this week. Was getting frustrated with the slowness required, struggling with it not looking like what I’m used to with watercolor, so I started adding silly creatures til it was fun again. Don’t ask why they all have 1 eye. They just do. 🎨 #art #gouache #creatures

Started this 16x20 watercolor at Westerville’s 4th Friday. Finished it a week ago, just took this long to convince myself it was done. Title yet to be determined, ideas welcome. There’s tons of little Easter eggs to find in this one, and according to a teenager I apparently painted Ed Sheeran #art 🎨
