And to note with the DA ones, there are few who don't care deeply about their families. Ellian isn't especially close with hers, but respects them, and Yuni while still holding love to his family, has grown strained among them, and simply needs some distance and space of his own, away from them.

Also, outside of DA, my original story characters literally run by their extensive family dynamics, the plot has been a vague shrug since 2011, lol. They're *so* dear to me but fuck if I know what they are here to do other than bounce off of each other.

Aside from partners, Amya considers Morrigan family. Astralis sees Josephine (his brother's partner and his best friend) as an extension of his own family, and Sera as well (his sister's partner) even though the girl might deny it herself. Fiora never had a traditional family so the VG is hers.

I like family dynamics, so it's a very important thing to most my characters and their driving force in good and bad. Some have kids of their own, others have siblings and parents they care about. Some have complicated relationships with their families. Some friends also get pulled into the family.

Astralis is a little shorter than Dorian so he'll have to find higher ground or hope for good luck. He'd probably try to call for him first, but being hard of hearing himself he can't rely on the response, and then just cast a quick spell upwards like a flare & wait there ready to banter abt it.

Noemi was born as a hag daughter - a night hag haunted her mother’s dreams whilst pregnant, and she was unknowingly cursed. Hag daughters appear like normal children until their 13th birthday, where they suddenly turn into a full-fledged hag. However, Noemi’s transformation was interrupted when, by pure chance, her hag mother was slain by some adventurers. This left Noemi half-changed, and her personality split. Though her original self is the main ‘host’, her hag self now resides in the eye on her forehead. Noemi has worked hard to maintain control of the evil persona, and is now usually able to keep it at bay during the day. But in the evening, when the night hag is most powerful, it will often wake up and take control of her body, leaving her to deal with the consequences in the morning. As preventative measures, Noemi will often sleep with an ankle cuff and muzzle, preventing the hag from casting spells or wandering off. Unfortunately the hag will still awaken and thrash about through the night, meaning Noemi often wakes up exhausted. She suffers from bouts of narcolepsy during the day, which can often become a hassle during inopportune moments. Noemi’s ultimate goal is to find a way to remove the hag-genes from herself for good, or at least seal them away permanently. When learning to manage her own situation, she gained a lot of healing knowledge that could also help other cursed individuals. Because of this, she travels the country as a specialist cleric, hoping that she can help others like her and also learn from their circumstances - maybe getting her closer to her own cure.

Astralis wishes he could do healing magic (& craft better but yknow he tries lol). When he still had Deshanna as his teacher, he agreed with her suspicion of spirits and such magics and stayed far from it, and now that he's more amenable to it, he has no teacher and is much too busy w/ other things.
