in hindsight, I think it was a strategic error to make fun of ai pics for getting the fingers all wrong. there's clearly a lot of well-paid people working on making ai spam, you shouldn't point out the obvious tells to them if you can help it

it's kinda like how if you think advertisements are annoying and bad, you should be able to tell that it's worse and more dehumanizing if it all becomes those ai pixar style ads youtube keeps playing now

these posts were sparked by me seeing at least a few artists talking about how genres they don't like must be perfectly interchangeable with ai spam. but if you know art, then you definitely know that a lot of naive and cliched stuff does, for better or worse, come from genuine human expression
