Michael Leggett @leggett.org · 09/01/2025Totally. Twitter is dead. I went to Mastodon and T2 but neither caught on. Then to Threads but now Meta is dropping fact checking. So now to Bluesky? It's exhausting rebuilding one's network over and over. 100 1
Michael Leggett @leggett.org · 09/01/2025I run into it as a developer of a popular browser extension every 3-6 months. It really sucks. :( 010 1
Michael Leggett @leggett.org · 08/01/2025Sigh... why do we think Bluesky will be any better than Threads or Twitter? Are we destined to keep platform hopping every 2-4 years? 210 2
Michael Leggett @leggett.org · 08/01/2025Also, this has been approved countless times as is. But I guess someone wants to fight a battle on semantics and what counts as a call to action. 000 0
Michael Leggett @leggett.org · 08/01/2025Note: No where in that text is a link to my website nor directions for how to sign up. The "Check for active plan" only re-checks if there is an active plan. It doesn't go anywhere or do anything else. 110 1
Michael Leggett @leggett.org · 08/01/2025I am explicitly saying that I can NOT direct the customer or tell the user where or how to sign up. Is Apple now saying I can't tell people that I can't tell them?!? 100 1
Michael Leggett @leggett.org · 08/01/2025🤬 Maybe this will be the time that I remove Simplify Gmail from the Apple App Store. I'm so tired of their ridiculous rules. "your app's extension includes the following call-to-action and/or URL that directs users to external mechanisms for purchases or subscriptions to be used in the app" 110 1
Michael Leggett @leggett.org · 08/01/2025Things you've already thought / tried: Did you use your own domain? Maybe you erased something that verified that? Can you just update your handle to be your domain again? 100 1
Michael Leggett @leggett.org · 24/10/2024Remember the Light camera? www.walmart.com/ip/Light-Cam...walmart.comRobot or human? 000 0
Michael Leggett @leggett.org · 02/07/2023This post also seems to suggest they are definitely thinking federated with other server operators. What would incentivize another company to run their own server? Have I opted into running my own by using my domain as my handle? Sigh... blueskyweb.xyz/blog/5-5-2023-federa… 110 1
Michael Leggett @leggett.org · 02/07/2023First post... this definitely feels better than Mastodon for now (pick a username, not a server... optionally use your own domain as your username). But I'm not sure that is the intended longterm experience or just the sandbox state. I worry it is the later. 290 9
