I disappeared from Bluesky for a little while. Not because I forgot this place. Not because I stopped caring. But because two months ago, life placed someone tiny in my arms and quietly changed everything. Rest of the story is in the alt text. Tap to read.

I thought I was taking a break from posting.

From helping people grow.

From showing up, connecting, replying, sharing, being present here.

But most days, I was just trying to learn a new rhythm with a baby who needed all of me.

There were moments I felt guilty.

Like I was falling behind.

Like everyone was building, posting, growing, moving forward, while my world had become feeding, holding, changing, rocking, and whispering "please sleep" in the dark.

Then one day, while holding my baby close, I realized something.

I was not behind.

I was beiing taught.

Patience. Presence. Love without applause. Growth that happens quietly, while no one is watching.

Motherhood has made me softer.

More tired, yes.

But also more grateful. More human. More aware that everyone is carrying something we cannot see while they are trying to grow.

So I am back here.

Maybe slower. Maybe not perfectly consistent.

But with a bigger heart, and an even stronger wish to help people grow on Bluesky, find their voice, and feel less alone while building.

Have you ever come back from a break and realized you were not behind, just different? :)

4. You are clearly here to sell your art, yet your DMs are disabled. That creates friction for potential buyers. If someone feels inspired and wants to reach out, you should make that process effortless. Removing barriers increases conversions.

3. Your handle, artiste-911.bsky.social, feels generic. Using your own domain as your handle would significantly increase credibility. It is inexpensive and highly recommended by Bluesky itself. A personal domain instantly communicates professionalism and long term commitment.

2. The links in your bio feel very sales focused. When someone new visits your profile and immediately sees something that looks like a sales funnel, it reduces trust, especially if credibility has not been built yet.

I strongly suggest unfollowing accounts that are not following you back and resetting your ratio to something more natural (1:1). Also, if you used automation to follow accounts, be very careful. Excessive actions can trigger platform limits and lead to blocks or bans.

Second, and more importantly, new visitors immediately notice this pattern. Even if your content is strong, trust drops instantly. In 2026, trust is everything. The moment someone doubts authenticity, you lose leverage.

The problem with that strategy is simple: people are not following you because of your content, but because they expect a follow back. This creates two major issues. First, growth becomes inefficient, you need to follow almost 6 people to gain 1 follower.

This is my honest recommendation after reviewing your profile: 1. Your follower to following ratio is currently around 5.8. That usually signals a follow-for-follow growth approach.
