Nigeria starts the second half with a successful set piece. Gift Monday heads down a corner kick for Michelle Alozie to open the scoring for the Super Falcons. Nigeria 1 - 0 Comoros

Nigeria play tomorrow, so we could see Boston's newest forward very soon. Monday played 120 minutes during Nigeria's AFCON run in August.

Given this win and goal differential, Boston cannot finish last in the standings. Last place seemed very possible after that first month. #NWSL

Traoré's importance to this team is incredible considering she was maybe the fifth most hyped signing of the season. Things would be DIRE without her.

Just caught up. Gambone getting the GWG is so deserved. One of the hardest workers even when she doesn’t get on the scoresheet.

BSG is signed until 2028, so it feels like the Legacy will be kept out of the playoffs until 2029 at the minimum.

Important point late in the season is about to be decided by VAR 😌😌😌

Feels like the team has been out-of-synch for the majority of the game. Only three (total!) shots through 82 minutes. Hoping for another miracle Traoré goal here.

8 goals conceded (so far) in the past two games. You absolutely have to change something next week. Play four at the back. Start Elgin. Play Annie at CB or something. This is a wild regression.

Mali is given the penalty after a lengthy review. Aïssata Traoré buries it and equalizes. 1-1

I think they mean the hype after the first few games when she was just constantly getting in behind and no one had an answer. Idk what they were expecting over a full season.

Two (very) bad takes I've seen in the past week were that Traoré has not lived up to the hype (she scored today) and that Reale was not a big enough addition (Boston is 3-1-1 since she joined). #BostonLegacy #NWSL

Something interesting re: Boston's home attendance. The average attendance this year has been 10,966, which is right around the estimated capacity of 11k for the new White Stadium. The season opener skews that number, but the new stadium will also probably provide an attendance boost.

I've now seen three separate people comment that they're 100% sure the new Legacy signing is one of Reale, Mewis, or Kerr. Folks, somebody's got to be off-base here lol

The pre-April break and post-April break Legacy look like two different teams. Even the loss to Chicago had promising moments.

030

Legacy Weekly @legacyweekly.bsky.social · 30/04/2026

I think the most positive takeaway is that Boston finally looks like it can win games. Those goalless stretches were troubling, but tonight showed they can put it all together.

030

Legacy Weekly @legacyweekly.bsky.social · 30/04/2026

Sort of a bizarre feeling game. Another strong offensive showing after the Chicago match. Defensively continues to be a mess (Nicki & Kaká will improve some of that). Love that the team has moved away from fouling 200 times per match, but that feels like an moderately easy 3 points up 2-0.

Beautiful work on that goal. Sammy Smith with a smart pass to Guti who finds Prince for the assist. Perfect low-driven shot from Cano as well. 🥲
