Thanks for sharing these scenes. The figure on the left, head down, trudging onwards, into who knows what, captures some of my feels. For me, these moments are vivid & intense w/ smells & sounds & emotions. The rush to get to clinic, the wondering if I was exposed, facing the new rumours of the day

I did ask, &you are correct. Big ashtrays on desks. Drs offering a light to Pts as appointments started was not unusual. You know, to be polite. It was also a way to keep "babyweight" down/off. I'm not that old... really. We learned how important clean are is to our health. Do not turn back.

ahhh, when they first tapped me things turned dark pretty fast and I passed out in the bloodlet chair... low bp. Yes, the phone calls only stopped when I reminded them I have little volume to share. There are other ways to support community. Sign a donor card, innoculate, organise a drive, drivers

After meeting *a few people*, it's pretty clear that the best one is the one you will wear. If using a big foulard wrapped 6 times around is your jam, great. If cloth is tolerable, go on babe. If you like futuristic elastomeric, fabulous. If all you do is sit for a pinch, you are beautiful. Do it!

Afterwards, might be a thought to go through glassware & consider what might shatter in shards & what might turn to cubes (ie safety glass/ceramics). Alternately, move glassware storage lower& microwave location lower for use. If heavy slippery items are hard to handle, switch to something easier.
