I imagine Galadriel will remember Adar throughout her remaining time in Middle Earth, wondering if she would be able to do what he did, and when she finally did by rejecting the One Ring offered to her by Frodo, surely Adar must be uppermost in her mind. „Now we are even, Uruk.“ 😌

#TheRingsOfPower #Adar Today I started on the cuirass, using a wood-burning pen and this heat-sensitive material called Worbla. It works great for carving the pattern so far. If all goes well, this might become an Adar cosplay eventually Thanks @niku30.bsky.social, your template was very helpful 🖤

The sword is ready 🗡️ The main material I used is card board covered foam, painted with acrylics, and lava stones for the gems. I really didn’t like Sauron to have it. It’s in better hands here, in my Adar corner 💔 The design of the original sword is by WetaWorkshop. #TheRingsOfPower #Adar

I never wanted any of the Lotr swords, but I do want to have this one. So I decided to try and make myself a copy. It still needs a lot of work. Today I spray-painted it and even started on the fun part, adding the details ☺️ #Adar #TheRingsOfPower

#TolkienTrewsday #Tolkien #pastels When thinking of places of sanctuary in Tolkien's world, Rivendell comes to mind at once... perfect for us weary travellers, so badly in need of refuge. "I want to see mountains again, Gandalf, mountains, and then find somewhere where I can rest."

Mountain landscape which could show the approach to Rivendell, coming from the west on a sunny day in autumn, although I didn't take the reference picture for this drawing in Middle Earth.

There's a colorful forest in the foreground, and sloping green fields leading into a steep valley, behind which snow-covered mountains are visible.

#TolkienTrewsday #Tolkien Lúthien "The spell of silence fell from Beren, and he called to her, crying Tinúviel; and the woods echoed the name. Then she halted in wonder, and fled no more, and Beren came to her. But as she looked on him, doom fell upon her, and she loved him."

Pencil drawing of Edith Tolkien as Lúthien, for whom she was the inspiration. She is standing in a forest clearing overgrown with flowering hemlock. The light gives her dark hair a tinge of red (I know it's supposed to be raven-black...). She wears a black dress with green embroidery. There aren't many pictures of Edith, so I used the standard portrait of her as a young woman as a reference. Because I made her too small, wanting to catch the forest atmosphere, I couldn't get my pastel pencils sharp enough to achieve any sort of likeness. Therefore I decided to rework Luthien's face digitally.

For yesterday's #TolkienTrewsday I'm reposting my drawing of two Uruks from #TheRingsOfPower. Tolkien wrote in a letter regarding "The New Shadow" that young Gondorians took to dressing up as orcs. I mean, you can see why they'd want to that, right? Those costumes are magnificent
