My best guess is it's that it's going to be a way to actually keep us off the platform, if we have to sign up with our information again they already have it

I know nobody's really following for my life updates but the one thing I do miss about Instagram is sharing my actual nonsense and bs to my stories, like my frivolous thoughts for the days. I kind of miss that void. In other news I have a lot of time back and I've been playing ttrpgs with said time

Did you have to do a weird verification process video and ID just to get banned anyways? I did and it was really sus

I'm sorry that happened to you! I used my real name on facebook, and I identify as cisgender so I'm not sure it's the same but probably targeted still

I was actually expecting my tick tock account to get canned first, so this was surprising, particularly without any warnings or anything at all and just a complete ban on me as a person. Ultimately I guess it's not surprising, with the way things are going

Aug 6 – 115°F high / 91°F low Today’s photos: A man with a walker collapsed, tended to by fire crew. Another man stares at a sign forbidding use of a green space. Someone died in University Park from heatstroke. She lay for hours before the coroner arrived. No one knew her.

A group of emergency responders — firefighters or paramedics — gather around a man sitting on a walker in a fenced-off parking lot near the American Legion building. They appear to be providing medical assistance. The man is slumped forward, surrounded by gear and orange emergency kits. A large red banner above them in Spanish partially reads “DEFRAUDADO” and “CORTE.” The fence between the viewer and the scene adds a feeling of distance or confinement. The environment looks hot and dry, with sparse shade from nearby trees.

A young man with messy hair and red shoes stands on a strip of green grass, facing away from the camera and looking at a sign. The sign reads:
“PARK CLOSED
City of Phoenix Property
No Trespassing
City Ordinance 23-8501-B.”
The sign is taped and weathered. Behind him is a house with barred windows and a fence. The surrounding area appears hot and bright. Though green and irrigated, the small park-like strip is off-limits, emphasizing a contradiction: a cared-for space that people can’t legally use.

A cropped photo of a a water station. One person pours water from a white spout into a blue cooler. Overlaid text in bold black boxes says:
“Tomorrow’s water station is dedicated to the elderly Black woman who passed just a few feet away today.
We will hit 118°.”
Below, an Instagram caption from @unshelteredphx explains that the woman showed signs of heatstroke and died before help arrived. She was unknown to those nearby. The water team used 200 lbs of ice and 40 gallons of water that day. The post urges followers to donate hydration supplies.

Water station up in Phoenix arizona, because the city is failing to take care of its people

Two people stand at the back of a vehicle in Phoenix, Arizona, filling up water from large yellow Igloo coolers labeled "Free Water / Igloo / Agua Gratis." It's a hot, sunny day with the temperature shown as 112°F, expected to reach 113°F and drop to 84°F. The scene is partially shaded by tree shadows. Text overlay says "Water station up 🤝" and tags @unshelteredphx and @standinginthedirt. A digital clock shows the time as 13:23.

today University Park had the side that we set up wate shut as retaliation for our community funded water station. we were able to reach council member Hernandez (PHX d7), who reached out to park services to reopen the gate (they claimed to not know why it was shut) community funded thank you!!

The photo was taken outdoors on a sunny day and shows a community aid setup in front of a public park called “University Park,” located at 1102 West Van Buren Street. The park's entrance is marked by a light tan archway with black text and a small purple city seal on it. A person wearing a hoodie, safety vest, and long pants is walking into the park, holding a red jug.

In the foreground, there is the rear end of a pickup truck with a hand-written sign taped to it. The sign says:

> “FREE WATER
AGUA GRATIS
The City of PHX would rather arrest people over & over again, than provide services that work.
#AuditCBI”

Attached to the truck is a large bright yellow water cooler with a stack of clear plastic cups next to it, indicating that free water is being offered to anyone passing by. This setup is part of a grassroots effort to support people in extreme heat, likely in response to inadequate public resources or services. The street and park surroundings show desert landscaping, with sparse greenery and clear blue skies.
