This weekend I went through issue 50 to 100 of White Dwarf, forgetting that it was mainly a DnD/RPG zine between 1977-1986 or so. Even Warhammer Fantasy was a bit scarce until right before the big Rogue Trader push. Fun to see the evolution over the years.

"Best" cheap sketchbook to get over adversion from just *drawing*? Post It (or other non-sticky brands) notes, any sizes. Hundreds of "pages" for a couple of bucks. I do almost all my shit-tier sketching on them. even scan and refine from there if I stumble on some interesting idea.

Noticed this as well, sometimes tools are "updated" to have more functions (which hits their performance at large brush sizes) or the tools might just get corrupted/wonky (new installations with much newer software versions).

Introduce yourself with 4 mechs (oh boy I thought I hadn't enough)

A large, headless tetrapod mech opens fire across the desert sands with a minigun and a light cannon. The mech has heavy, square shoulder pads loaded with missile launchers, and a frontal, vertical row of eye-sensors. Behind and above it, other similar mech are taking flight, compacting their form into a different configuration, or shooting with a flamethrower. The sky darkens, but the fires of war lighten the horizon.

Fanart from Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon depicting 621 fighting Rusty during the battle on the Xylem. While Rusty is piloting his Steel Haze Ortus, the player is using a mixed Firmeza Elcano build with a Haldeman shotgun and the Ashmead Pile Bunker.

A cigar-smoking humanoid tortoise outfitted with a huge gun and artificial assisting arms (mounted with a circular buzzsaw and a drill) stands next to his small mech. Reading a random pulpy 40k novel with a handful of catachan side characters in a jungle, didnt think much of it until some plague marines show up and 2 are sent to kill them. …Is this the novel where a Catachan takes out 2 plague marines via throwing knives at them?
