Dauphin Island Sea Lab and a volunteer group from Georgia Gwinnett College built statge one of a new oyster reef today in the Blankenship Ecotourism Area on Dauphin Island. We will be adding living oysters to the reef over the next few months. #SMEELAB #DISL#marinelife 🧪🦪

My graduate student is lead author on this study. We found that oyster restoration could be improved by exposing oysters to predator scent, which causes them to grow a stronger shell. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/share/author... 🧪#science
