Whilst the majority of the RAF markings are transfers, 112 Squadron’s distinctive (and much copied, including, famously, the US "Flying Tigers" in China) Shark Mouth markings are freehand painted!

Great work! I was trying to work out how old that road is. I built them for King and Queen's growing FoW community. I couldn't find any photos of me making it. But I can kinda pinpoint when it appears in the photos from games. Feb 2009 we were using cardboard road. June 2009 we had that MDF road.

February 2009's K&Q open day - cardbaord road! But the six part I built (and still in Mike's possession in the barn, I think), plus Paul's Tiger Terrain French buildings are in service.

First official games in the new barn! Still a bit to go on it, but we can now play games properly in there. Team Yankee, 164 points game, double Brits Vs Finns. A smashing battle and the single most effective Buccaneer strike I’ve ever had!

In accordance with ancient tradition, our next Prime Minister is announced to the nation while standing between a furry and a man with a bin on his head.

A victorious Andy Burnham MP (24,937 votes), as the result of the Makerfield by-election is announced, flanked by defeated candidates Count Binface (a bloke in a vaguely sci-fi costume with a large bin for a helmet; 95 votes) and Robert Pownall (who is in a full body fox costume, holding a sign reading "Protect British Wildlife"; 18 votes). There are some other candidates there just out of shot but that's not important right now.

From 2024's D-Day Game. 25 players got together on the anniversary to recreate a small part of the action of #DDay Wargaming is a big part of the military history story, so to have so many like minded enthusiasts together was smashing. Have a peaceful DDay Anniversary.

25 players standing behind a 32 foot wide by six foot deep representation of the beaches of Normandy. We played an immense game that the players had a smashing time with.
