“Pig" is an unfortunate counter-culture term, which by now has become so widely applied to anything "Establishment" as to have lost its original meaning. It comes, for those who may not know, from the Black Panthers, who applied it to white policemen in an attempt to demonstrate to other ghetto residents that they had enough dignity to call "pigs" the same cops who called them "n****rs.” I would prefer to reserve its application to those policemen who earn it, of which there continue to be far too many.

My favorite part was later in the afternoon after the initial rush died down a little I was working on my current crochet WIP and people were saying the *nicest* things about it and I forgot how nice it is to get that encouragement when you’re working on something. Craft people rule.
