Instead of that, I recommend you go to your local library and ask for recommendations on new movies. Or scour the Criterion Closet videos for an actor, musician, or director you like and go with some of their picks. You'll expand your taste and understand influences better.

It reminds me of Brandon Sanderson’s essay on why he writes. He’s not writing for everyone. He’s writing so he can understand and process the world, and also so someone who feels outside, can find a home in his books, if nowhere else. www.brandonsanderson.com/blogs/blog/o...

When it comes to fantasy settings like D&D or Age of Sigmar, I'm a fan of angels over demons. But it seems like so many are the opposite. Both are cool.
