Something I think people don’t understand about LLMS that I just figured out: You can’t tell an LLM to admit it doesn’t know something, not really. it’s whole “prime directive” is to guess the best way to be a person but to never actually admit it can’t really be one.

The effort that I’ve had to and continue to have to put into creating female characters highlights a sexism in society, but also within myself that I didn’t know I had. As I continue to try, I find that I want to work harder on breaking away from that mindset. (4)

Masculinity offers so much more ‘wiggle room’, in a sense. And while betrayal of the feminine ideal is ‘allowed’, that betrayal still serves as a definition. I want to create a character who simply is a woman- and that definition isn’t tied to any extraneous sexuality or lack thereof. (3)

The definition of a character as ‘male’ doesn’t necessitate any sexual characteristics. Not so with defining a female character. The societal definition of femininity is inexorably tied to her sexual characteristics. Those characteristics must be ‘just so’ in order to be ignored. (2)
