I happen to know that the recent discovery of the ark is true. It was relayed to me by the man who solved the mystery of its whereabouts - my good friend, Sherlock Holmes.

Both Laurie and Kristin recorded albums called "Strange Angels" and Kristin has a fan subscription page called "Strange Angels" where fans make quarterly payments to help with studio time. These fans are the "strange angels".

I saw Bettie Serveert supporting Throwing Muses at the Clapham Grand in 1992 (the gig that some TM songs got included on "The Curse" album)

Pic by Minna Waring. Posing with me isn't my real ladder - my mum married again so this is my stepladder. I have to use it in social situations because I have a problem with my eyes - they're too near the ground.

I only recently found out that one of my favourite singers, @kristinhersh.bsky.social covered my favourite Nick Drake song, "Fly" for a compilation in 2014. This is so beautiful and so real. It makes me cry. youtu.be/pAQcvt0Lpow?...

I was co-writing a fanzine at the time. Beggars Banquet sent me this free in the post. I played it once and gave it away to a mate who was a fan - I gave it to him before the release date!

I've only just discovered that you covered another of my favourite songs - "Fly" by Nick Drake. Just heard it for the first time. I feel quite emotional. Thank u.

Sad to hear the news of the passing of Bud Cort. "Harold And Maude" is my favourite film of all time. I know Vic was a fan as he quoted it in the song "Parade" - and your cover of Cat Stevens' "Trouble" was a beautiful homage. This is a film where all the devotees are kindred spirits. Lotsaluv xxx

Changed mine to Bonnie Tyler's. I kept getting lost in France because it kept telling me to turn around and every now and then it fell apart.

George Orwell's quote - "The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears" - is gaining a lot of traffic online. What he didn't predict is that we now have AI - a technology that makes us all doubt the evidence of our eyes and ears. This is the modern world - and I fucking hate it.

As we get older memories fade and part of it is misremembering the date. Like - when did I take my first driving test - 1985 or 1986? Or your first gig - you'd swear it was 1978 but it was 1979. Or when Trump says the election was fixed - he'd swear blind it was 2020 when in fact it was 2024.
