During RECOGNISE Week, our Children, Young People and Families Team have put together some tips for how we can celebrate those who work in this vital area of ministry!

Ideas for Celebrating Volunteers
• Write a thank you card or postcard to each volunteer from the
PCC thanking them for the work they do
• Hold a gathering around food - could be tea and cake, a BBQ or a picnic. Invite your volunteers along and spend some social time together
• During prayer time or during the event, thank God for their vocation and their call to ministry with children, young people and their families

This RECOGNISE Week, we want to pray for all those who minister with children, young people and families.

Lord Jesus,
Thank you for all those who serve children and young people in your Church.
Thank you for the many acts of loving service and hours spent
tirelessly serving in small and unseen ways to nurture faith in the emerging generations.
Bless the work of our children and youth ministers. Strengthen their hands so that through their work young people may be invited into abundant life with you.
We pray also for our whole church community;
Make us willing to be communities that abundantly welcome children and young people.
Like St Benedict who spoke of listening to the youngest person in the room, help us to listen carefully to the voice of the young person.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who brings life in all its fullness,
Amen.

Religious leaders from across Bradford, including the Rt Revd Toby Howarth, Bishop of Bradford, have released a statement about the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

As representatives of religious and faith communities in Bradford and District, we are deeply concerned about the ongoing military conflict in the Middle East and the impact it is having on countries and communities across the region. At this time, we are especially mindful of those who have loved ones affected by this conflict.

As people of faith, we are committed to ensuring that these events do not become a source of division within our own communities or be used to set us against one another. We call on people of faith, across our city and district, to stand together in prayer and solidarity during this challenging time.
