the appeal of catboys is that they're all slightly pathetic in some way or another

When you're waiting for your brother, WoL, and his boyfriend to stop making out, so you can tell them you need a pick-up to the moon. #GPOSERS #EorzeaPhotos #miqote

He looks like he wants to call me n'wah, then enslave me and sell to the Telvanni just because I have a cat ears. Cute~

Ledail @ledail.bsky.social · 20/04/2026

Well, Keiko is a genderbend version of my gay WoL Kaito. Initially, I genderbend my entire main ship as well, creating a lesbian WolGraha. But then I started shipping her with favorite of all Eorzea's women - Sadu. And honestly, I think I prefer that relationship dynamic.

Ledail @ledail.bsky.social · 20/04/2026

Some weird AU in The First where Kaito is a contract killer and G'raha was never an Exarch. Don't ask whose blood is on Kaito's face. #ffxivgpose #GPOSERS #EorzeaPhotos #miqote #crossover #Marvel #Bullseye

Marvel's Bullseye has been an inspiration for Kaito from the start, at least in terms of his abilities. So a shoot like this was bound to happen. #ffxivgpose #GPOSERS #miqote #crossover #Marvel #Bullseye

Nora fools around as the first catboy in space (the first one apart from all those miqo'te WoLs... but apart from them, he's the first! Oh, and G'raha... Yeah... But after that he's the first definitely!) #GPOSERS #miqote #EorzeaPhotos

Yeah, Tolkien was very into classic dog-cat antagonism trope, where dogs are always the good guys (Huan) and cats are always the villains.

Ledail @ledail.bsky.social · 05/03/2026

WTF JRR

Ledail @ledail.bsky.social · 05/03/2026

Tevildo is my favorite part of the Beren and Lúthien story! He's definitely more interesting in that role than Sauron. But maybe it's too childish for JRR, dunno. Besides, I remember it having the most anti-cat propaganda text I've ever read in fiction. I'll find the quote in a moment.

Spicy, bo kuzyni. No i motyw Romea i Julii, bo ich ojcowie chcieli sobie wydrapać oczy.

Fingolfin absolutny chad, zarówno za całkiem udaną próbę nastukania miejscowemu szatanowi, jak i poprowadzenie swojego ludu przez cholerną Cieśninę Beringa, bo głupio było zawrócić.

I finished Rai's route (both bad and good ending) in Lamento: Beyond the Void. I love this VN. I love the characters, I love the music, I love the world-building (I'm surprised there aren't more yaoi in the fantasy worlds). And yes, the fact that most of the cast are catboys is also a factor.
